Programs and Services
Technology Uplift offers several programs and services to low-income communities, non-profit organizations and government agencies.
Uplift Computer Center Program
The Uplift Computer Center Program is our program where we adopt a pre-existing computer lab and provide free computer maintenance and training to community residence. The monthly maintenance will consist of virus scans, software and hardware upgrades and computer repair.
A+ and Network+ Certification Program
The opportunity for this level of certification is provided through Technology Uplift’s hands-on instructional approach as students interact with a certified instructor, current technician tools, and up-to-date computer equipment. The program will prepare students for CompTIA’s A+ and Network+ Certification tests. A certified Instructor will teach the courses. Each course consists of 10 four hour class sessions. Each class session consist of 2 ½ hours of lecture and 1 ½ hours of lab. Self study guide with text book and Technology Uplift University online course. Upon course completion our students will provide maintenance support for our Uplift Computer Centers.
In accordance with the mission and goals of the organization, Technology Uplift will enhance computer literacy within the community through hands on instruction; provide students with marketable skills upon course completion.
Uplift Youth Mentoring Program
The Uplift Youth Mentoring Program is designed to provide children and teenagers an opportunity to increase their computer technology knowledge in a safe learning environment. Technology Uplift staff provides hands-on computer training. The program takes place during juvenile crime peak hours. This will in turn lower juvenile crime in these serviced communities.
The Uplift Youth Mentoring Program hours of operation will be from 3:30pm to 6pm. During the program community center and Technology Uplift staff will monitor the youths. Technology Uplift staff provides computer training to members of the community. The Uplift Youth Mentoring Program serves youth between the ages of 5 and 17 within a two mile radius of each established center.
